Pets at Home are to offer a series of free workshops during Rabbit Awareness Week.

RAW is an annual event during which experts, charities and manufacturers work together to educate people on how to give a pet rabbit the best care possible.

The Pets at Home store, in Borehamwood Shopping Park, will host the workshops to teach the public how to care for their rabbits responsibly.

Highly trained members of staff will be on hand to provide information and advice on how to keep pet rabbits healthy and happy.

Store manager Noel Stewart said: “Rabbits are the UK’s third most popular pet, making rewarding pets for adults and supervised older children. They’re highly intelligent, social, interactive and fun creatures that are extremely clean and can even be litter trained.

“They have very individual and distinct personalities, and often live over ten years old, so having a rabbit as a pet is a long-term commitment.”

The workshops will be held in store from 12pm on Saturday, 10 and Sunday 11 May and Saturday, 17 and Sunday, 18 May.
