There was archaic spelling as well as dress when a Borehamwood lawyer was inducted into a historic City institution.

Laurence Kaye, a specialist in publishing and digital media law, was cloathed as a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers in a traditional ceremony at Stationer’s Hall, City of London.

The Stationers’ Company has more than 800 members, with the majority being senior executives in the communications industry.

Mr Kaye, of national law firm Shoosmiths LLP, said: “I’m very proud to be able to announce my cloathing as a liveryman. The Stationer’s Company has a very long history for its work and also supports an academy. It’s a very charitable organisation and that’s really the main reason behind why I joined.”
