A father determined to help sick children put his hobby to good use when he ran a marathon for charity.
Mansour Radjabi, of Manor Way, Borehamwood, took part in the Brighton marathon last week to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
So far, the 54-year-old, who works for Sainsburys, has raised £250 in donations from friends and colleagues.
He said: “It’s incredibly sad when children have an illness. They are our future and we have to do all we can to help them live a longer life and make a future for themselves.
“Running is my hobby so I thought I’d put it to good use. I last did a marathon 25 years ago and it was very difficult.
“My son and wife came down to cheer me on and it was an excellent day.”
He completed the race in three hours and 24 minutes - just three minutes shy of his original goal.
