A nine-year-old girl showed she is a good sport when she took the plunge for charity.
Isabelle Strack, of Masewood Avenue, raised money for Sports Relief when she organised a sponsored swim.
She set herself the challenge of swimming 24 lengths at The Venue, in Elstree Road, Borehamwood - and said she was “proud” to achieve her goal.
She said: “It was quite tough and tiring but I wanted to help the children because I saw Sports Relief on television and it was quite sad.
“I love swimming - it is one of my favourite sports so I thought I just had this idea that I would do something to raise money.
“I am really happy I did it.”
The Kenilworth Primary School pupil raised £36 for her efforts after her family, friends and teachers offered to sponsor her.
She has dreams of becoming a swimmer as good as her idol - Rebecca Adlington, a cyclist like Victoria Pendleton - or a star football player.
Isabelle added: “I am really excited that I managed to do something for Sports Relief, I’m definitely going to do something again next year.”
