An elderly woman was the victim of a phone scam after a bogus police officer told her he was investigating fraud on her account.
The 90-year-old, from Borehamwood, was telephoned by a man claiming to be a police officer and said there had been fraudulent activity on her bank account.
He said the victim’s cards were needed and a courier was arranged to collect them, which it later did on Monday, March 10.
The bank cards were used later the same day and in the early hours of Tuesday, March 11 at cash machines in London where cash was withdrawn.
Police have now issued CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the investigation.
Anyone with information is urged to call 101.
