The razzle dazzle of a music hall show marked the 50th anniversary of Hertsmere Mencap.
The Ark Theatre in Borehamwood hosted The Variety Music Hall on Saturday, produced and directed by Susan Moser and Brian Burton, and supported by Hertsmere Borough Council.
It was the first event to be held to mark Hertsmere Mencap's milestone year, and the two performances featured performers from the Elstree and Borehamwood Light Operatic Society, Elstree Productions, Radlett Players, and 90 children from Theatre Club Kids.
Ms Moser said: "Local talent, introduced by an ebullient Nick Male, performed to a local audience in our local theatre, raising funds for a local charity – a truly community event. Everyone went home wearing a smile.”
