Charity groups and organisations are now able to apply for the latest round of grants from Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council.
In 2013, the council paid out £83,575 to recipients including The Ark Theatre, Elstree and Borehamwood Museum, Woodlands School Staff and Parents’ Association and Elstree Cricket Club.
Grants are awarded to groups or organisations that serve residents in the area, and must be used for specific projects or purchases, upgrading facilities, training costs or start-up costs for new initiatives.
For a chance to receive money in the first round of funding, applications must be submitted to the council by Wednesday, May 7. Organisations will also be able to submit applications for a second round of grants later in the year.
