Children were given an insight into a day in the life of a firefighter in a talk at their school.
Pupils at Newberries School, in Radlett, were visited by Borehamwood Fire Station’s White Watch.
Their teacher dressed up in a fireman’s clothing and the pupils were given the chance to ask questions about the modern day fire and rescue service.
They were then given the chance to climb into the fire engine and try out the hose reel jets.
