A senior government minister paid a visit to Elstree to speak about terrorism and enjoy a meal at a luxury hotel.
Home Secretary Theresa May attended a Conservative Party dinner at The Laura Ashley Manor Hotel in Elstree last Tuesday.
She spoke for a quarter of an hour about the Government’s efforts to combat terrorism, both now and in the future, and to reduce immigration.
Afterwards she took questions from guests, which included Hertsmere Borough Council leader Councillor Morris Bright and MP for Hertsmere James Clappison.
Cllr Bright said afterwards: “It was great to be able to welcome such a senior member of the Government to Hertsmere and hear first-hand of the important work being done to keep our country safe.”
