Parents and members of the public will be given a glimpse of the “fabulous” activities a pre-school offers during an open evening.

Busy Bees Pre-School Academy in Andrew Close in Shenley has designed a new curriculum to make the transition between nursery and school as smooth as possible for children and parents.

Based on the interests of three to five-year-olds, the timetable involves activities such as PE, song and dance, gardening, cooking and ICT designed to help children learn and be active.

During the open evening on Monday from 6pm, parents will be able to explore the nursery's discovery corner, kitchen, lending library and the forestry school, which is designed to encourage children to explore the great outdoors.

Families will also have the opportunity to speak to parents from the nursery’s parent partnership group and administrator Moggan Farrakhshad will be on hand to discuss early years funding.

There will be refreshments on offer and children will receive their new uniforms and book bags at the end of the evening.

The nursery will also be holding open mornings on February 24, March 3, March 10, March 17 and March 24, all from 10am to 11.30am.
