Older men hoping to shed their beer belly or lower their blood pressure are being encouraged to join a new exercise class.
Community Action Hertsmere and Hertsmere Borough Council are launching a Fellas Fitness programme for men over 50.
The course, which starts next Tuesday, aims to give participants the chance to take part in regular exercise in a fun and sociable environment.
The first session will take place at Farriers Way Community Centre in Borehamwood at 9.30am and is free.
Councillor Brenda Batten, who is responsible for leisure and health, said: "This is a fantastic new initiative aimed at encouraging participants to build and maintain their fitness, whilst at the same time providing an opportunity for them to meet and interact with other members of their local community."
