Members of the public have been warned to be vigilant after three burglaries took place on the same day.

Homes in Aycliffe Road, Thirsk Road and Reston Path in Borehamwood were broken into between 10.30am and 10.30pm yesterday.

The suspects used an unknown implement to force open UPVC doors and then ransacked the houses, stealing jewellery and clothes.

The thieves then ran off.

PCSO Sophie Watson asked anyone with information to contact 101 quoting crime references J1/14/260, J1/14/261, J1/14/262.

She said: "Can all residents please be extra vigilant and report anything suspicious.

"If you would like a crime prevention survey carried out on your property please contact Borehamwood Safer Neighbourhood Team by calling 101.

"Thank you for your continued help and support."
