A business group is helping young people gain a valuable entry into the world of work.

Hertsmere Connect, a chamber of commerce formed last year, is offering to put schools who are members of the organisation in touch with local companies who could give young people internships or work experience.

The chamber's chief executive Ian Welland said work experience was vital in giving young people a "competitive advantage over their peers", as well as teaching them skills needed in the workplace.

Schools who wish to engage with Hertsmere Connect and be put in touch with the business community, should contact Ian Welland on 01923 442442 or email ian@watford-chamber.co.uk
