Hertfordshires' Police and Crime Commissioner has welcomed a Government grant that will boost collaboration between police forces in three neighbouring counties.
The £1.95 million grant will support Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire’s plans to bring together their operational and organisational support services.
It is estimated this work will save £23 million over four years.
Mr Lloyd said: “I am delighted that we have been awarded the full amount that was bid for. The money will help drive forward the collaboration plans agreed by myself, the Chief Constable Andy Bliss and partners in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.”
The grant will be used on technology that should allow the three forces to work more efficiently
and spend more time dealing directly with the public.
