Borehamwood might be famous for vibrant televisions shows like Dancing on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing and Big Brother, but some families in the town are still watching their favourites in black and white.
Figures released by TV licensing show eight households in Borehamwood still have black and white television licences.
Despite it being nearly 48 years since the first colour programme was broadcast, 11,500 homes nationwide still retain the old licences.
The cost of a black and white TV licence is £49 compared to £145.50 for a colour one.
