Members of the public will meet tonight to discuss the issues affecting the people of Borehamwood.

Elstree and Borehamwood Residents’ Association is holding a meeting at The Ark Theatre in Thrift Farm Lane in Borehamwood at 8pm.

During the meeting committee members will elect a treasurer and secretary.

Residents will discuss the association’s campaign to prevent The Ark Theatre from being closed and demolished when part of Hertswood Academy is sold to developers.

Also on the agenda are the parking problems caused by the amalgamation of both Cardif Pinnacle buildings at the Barnet Way site in Borehamwood, and whether a CPZ will be needed.

The committee will consider changes to the road layouts and traffic lights where Station Road meets Shenley Road in Borehamwood and traffic lights in Elstree that are causing congestion.

Isopad House will be discussed, as will be changes to the rules of asking questions at Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council meetings, that limit the number of questions each person can ask and the time available to them.
