Hundreds of people are braving wet and windy weather to be the first inside the Big Brother studio tonight.

People have travelled from as far away as Wimbledon and Margate to watch the celebrities enter the house.

Jeanette Rogers, who lives in North Finchley, has been queuing since 1.10pm.

She said: “There are between 200 and 300 people here stretching far behind me. The atmosphere is lovely, even the weather has not dampened our spirits.

“I’m here with a group of friends who have all been in the audience before, this is my first time seeing the show live and I’m very excited.

“I love seeing how the characters interact with each other in real life situations.”

Tony Goodwin, who travelled from Wimbledon with his wife, said he could not wait to see the show live.

He said: “We’re huge friends of Celebrity Big Brother, it’s a great show. We’re hoping The Only Way Is Essex star Sam Faiers is on the show and we’ll be rooting for her to win.”

He said he had been soaked in torrential rain earlier this afternoon but said it was well worth the rain.

James Beddingfield was right at the back of the queue after driving two hours from Margate to be there.

He said: “I’ve watched the show on television for a long time, I love the drama. We’ve got another couple of hours queuing ahead of us but it’s worth it to experience the show live.

“It’s very cold, we’re huddling together to stay warm.”
