A former director of the East of England Ambulance Service Trust has been given a Queen’s Ambulance Service Medal for her 30 year career.

Jill Moseley, who retired from her role as associate director of clinical quality in February, was named in the Queen’s New Year Honour List on Tuesday.

She originally joined the former Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Ambulance Service as an ambulance care assistant, working within the patient transport service.

Ms Moseley was integral to introducing the paramedic role to the ambulance service, and was the first female director of operations in England.
