People are being asked to protect the environment by recycling their Christmas trees and cards when the festive period is over.
Hertsmere Borough Council will be shredding Christmas trees for compost at designated spots next month.
Trees can be taken to The Venue in Elstree Way on January 6 and cards can be taken to Hertsmere Civic Offices to be recycled throughout January.
