People who wish to experience Paris in the springtime are being sought by a twin town association.

Borehamwood and Elstree Twin Town Association (BETTA) is planning a trip to its French twin town,
Fontenay aux Roses in the suburbs of Paris, on the weekend of May 16.

The expedition will coincide with the village’s annual festival, which includes a carnival parade, and there will be a stall at the event promoting Borehamwood.

The visitors will have there their own time to sample other local nearby attractions, which in previous years have included Versailles, L’Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower and the Sacré Coeur.

Travel will be by Eurostar, and the trip costs £350, which includes all travel and accommodation.

Vicechairman of the twin town association Andrew Grady said: “This makes an ideal Christmas present, so reserve your place now.”
