A man sexually abused a woman in Borehamwood after she told him she did not want to continue having sex.

Aaron Snow and the woman - who cannot be named - had consensual sex at an address in Borehamwood on March 16 this year, St Albans crown court heard yesterday.

Prosecutor Sally Mealing-McLeod said the victim told Snow, 29, she did not want to continue.

"The defendant straddled her and then masturbated close to her face, slapping her repeatedly," she told the court.

Afterwards, she walked to the police station and reported Snow, who was arrested.

Snow, of Nether Street, Finchley, pleaded guilty to sexual assault and common assault.

He had 12 convictions for 16 offences, none of them were sexual, said the prosecutor. They included causing actual bodily harm, robbery, battery and taking a vehicle without consent.

Sohail Bashir, defending, said Snow wanted to be sentenced straight away.

But Judge John Plumstead adjourned sentence until February 5 for reports to be prepared.

He said: "I am concerned about the risk he poses to the public."

Snow was remanded in custody.
