An old prison will be transformed into a festive grotto when Father Christmas comes to town.
Shenley Parish Council is holding its annual Christmas event on Sunday at Shenley Cage Pond, London Road.
Children will have the chance to meet Father Christmas and tell him if they have been naughty or nice.
There will be carol singing and mulled wine and mince pies for the adults.
The event will raise money for the Sir Richard Cox Charity, which was set up 1632 for the poor and needy of Shenley.
Every year, money is given to those identified by various church groups and schools as those who are most in need at Christmas time.
Festivities run from 4pm until 5pm.
