Furry cats and playful looking dogs will feature in a charity calender as a vet shows off its clients' most adorable animals.
Fernside Vets, in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, have designed the 2014 calender to help raise money for charity Hounds for Heroes.
Each month features one of Fernside's most dashing looking animals - from Rolo the chocolate Labrador to Rosie the cat and Pickle the hedgehog.
They were selected after 174 animals were entered into the Facebook competition, where members of the public voted for their favourite pets to become the “Face of Fernside”.
Practice Manager, 34-year old Emma-Eve Raw, from Well End, said: “It was a fantastic community effort and we wanted to try and help the local community by raising money for charity.”
Emma said the competition was such a huge success because of the “family atmosphere” of the clinic - “Our clients wanted to be the "Face of Fernside", because we are a community practice that they are proud of.”
Hounds for Heroes provides specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled ex-members of the armed forces and emergency services.
Emma hopes to raise £700 through selling the calenders for £9.99 from the practise on Shenley Road when the calendars are available in January.
