Choir singers raised the rafters of a church with their festive carols.
Members of Elstree Singers were invited to perform at St John Fisher and Thomas More Church in Rossington Avenue, Borehamwood, as part of the church’s year of music.
Throughout the year, the church is hosting a range of musical concerts, with a Russian choir performing at the last event in October.
The Elstree Singers performed Christmas music with carols such as While Shepherd’s Watched their Flocks, and choral music from composers including Bach.
Colette Joyce, pastoral assistant at the church, said: “It was a wonderful event. We have really beautiful acoustics in the church and the choir really filled it.
“The year of music is for everyone to enjoy – it’s open to all the community to come in and enjoy our beautiful church.”
