A children’s theatre club helped spread some Christmas cheer when its members sang carols to raise money for charity.
The Theatre Club Kids performed in Tesco, in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, in aid of Guide Dogs For the Blind over the weekend.
They raised more than £441 in just under two hours, and teacher Jess Bigland thanked both the supermarket and the customers who donated.
She said: “Our children love to sing and from the response we received, I think the shoppers also enjoyed our performance.”
The theatre club recently took part in a show to raise money for the Air Ambulance and the Rotary Club Christmas show.
It was also able to donate more than £600 to the Stroke Association from its own show.
