Households in Hertsmere risk breaking the law if they forget to register to vote.
Nearly 20 per cent of households in the borough have not returned their voter registration forms.
Hertsmere Borough Council is reminding people to complete the forms or else risk losing their right to influence the way the country is run.
The form can be returned using the freepost envelope provided or by text or online.
