Children learned about the challenges facing Israel when their school played host to a special guest.
The Israeli Ambassador to Britain Daniel Taub visited Yavneh College in Hillside Avenue on Tuesday, where he spoke to more than 600 pupils about life in Israel.
He encouraged the pupils to find out about its music, sport and food, and said he hoped they would visit.
Mr Taub said: “Visiting Yavneh College was a wonderful experience.
"I was delighted to see the engagement and interest of the students across the school in Israel and hope the relationship between the school and Israel continues to deepen and flourish."
Headteacher Spencer Lewis said the school was "honoured" to welcome the ambassador.
He added: "The students were fascinated by his presentation, asking some excellent questions in the process.
"The ambassador’s support for the work we do is much appreciated."
