Strictly Come Dancing: Ashley voted off
Glittering costumes and fabulous dance moves charmed the judges on this week’s Strictly Come Dancing – but it was not enough to save Ashley Taylor Dawson, who was voted off the show.
The Hollyoaks hunk, 31, found himself in the bottom two for the second week running.
He and his dancing partner, Ola Jordan were forced to take to the dance floor again to perform their salsa to Gloria Estefan’s hit Conga.
And the judges instead chose to save Patrick Robinson and his partner, Anya Garnis, from elimination.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood said: “It is all down to the audience.
“All the people in the competition are eight, nine and 10. I only hope you do your dance like you did last night. It was spectacular.”
Despite the actor giving it his all, it just wasn't enough to impress the judges, with only head judge Len Goodman feeling Ashley outperformed the Casualty actor.
The show, filmed at Elstree Studios, Borehamwood, is now in its 11th week.
Contestant Susanna Reid scored the lowest points of Saturday’s show with her Argentine Tango dance.
Judges told her that her steps “lacked mood and atmosphere”.
Natalie Gumede and dance partner Artem Chigvinsev swung their way to victory in the Swing-a-Thon, adding six points to their overall score.
