Employment in Borehamwood will receive a boost as a medical device company expands its office.
San Diego-based company NuVasive, which recently relocated its UK headquarters to The Waterfront in Elstree, officially reopened its newly expanded office this week.
The new two-storey 7,500-square-foot facility adds office space, increases warehousing capabilities, and provides dedicated space for staffing, training and surgeon events.
The international company, which makes devices used in spine surgery, will be hiring local people to join its staff in January.
The company’s executive vice president of international, Russell Powers said: “The larger facility in London will allow NuVasive to increase our capabilities in key areas that align well with our international growth plans.
“We are adding significant sales talent and operational support to increase the penetration of our comprehensive portfolio of procedurally-integrated spine products not just in the UK, but across all of Europe.”
