A Christmas safety event will be held in Borehamwood later this month.

Representatives from Hertsmere Borough Council, Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue, Hertfordshire Constabulary and Trading Standards will be on hand to give away leaflets and advice about staying safe over the festive season.

Councillor Charles Goldstein, who is responsible for community safety, said: "This will be an enjoyable and informative event, covering a wide range of issues from Christmas fire safety to consumer rights."

The event will take place at the Civic Offices in Elstree Way on Monday December 16 from 5pm to 6.30pm.

The Borehamwood Community Safety Partnership meeting will follow at 6.30pm.
