Weather warning of heavy rain issued for the weekend in Borehamwood
There is a weather warning of heavy rain in place for Friday and Saturday in south west Hertfordshire.
Up to 30mm of rain is forecast, leading to the Met Office warning of the possibility of localised flooding and disruption to transport.
The yellow alert is the lowest level of severe weather warning, and asks members of the public to "be prepared for adverse weather".
The Met Office’s chief forecaster said: "An area of low pressure currently developing over the Atlantic Ocean is likely to track close to or across southern England later Friday and early Saturday, bringing with it a spell of wet weather.
"Rain is expected to be the main hazard associated with this depression, 15 to 30 mm rain likely quite widely."
