Second appeal launched after flats plan rejected in Radlett
Housebuilders have launched an appeal after the council rejected an application to build nine “monstrous” flats in Radlett.
Real Time International is challenging Hertsmere Borough Council’s decision not to grant planning permission to demolish homes in Christchurch Crescent and replace them with flats.
The authority originally rejected the plans in April but a second application was lodged in June - and thrown out by the planning committee on October 22.
More than 100 people objected to the proposals during April’s meeting, at which Councillor Dan Griffin said the buildings were “inappropriate”.
Many fear the new homes would leave little space for residents to park their cars, as it is not manned by a controlled parking zone.
