Business confidence high in Hertfordshire after BB Expo at Elstree Holiday Inn
Business confidence is on the increase across Hertfordshire claim the organisers of a business exhibition.
More than 250 people descended on the Elstree Holiday Inn in the Barnet Bypass to meet representatives from 40 Hertfordshire companies.
The Best Business Expo, held last week, was organised and managed by Peter Donn.
Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce were partners and insurance brokers Hamilton Leigh sponsored the event.
It was opened by Mayor of Hertsmere Paul Morris, who spent time visiting exhibitors and talking to them about their work.
Hertsmere Connect the new Chamber of Commerce for Hertsmere exhibited for the first time.
Other exhibitors included Metro Bank, Watford FC, KHCS Group, MHA McIntyre Hudson, Costco, AppStudio360, IndigoPlum, University of Hertfordshire & Atlas Translations.
Mr Donn said: "After a number of previous evhibitions we know that these events are the perfect opportunity to network, make new contacts, win new business and learn new skills that will ultimately increase profits.”
Herts Chamber of Commerce’s operations manager Jill Coggins was manning the organisation’s stand.
She said: “The BB EXPO was very well attended by well-established and new business start-ups alike.”
Herts Chamber of Commerce, which currenlty has 200 members, exists to champion businesses and represent their interests at a local and national level.
The chamber of commerce’s chief executive Yolanda Rugg added: “The business expedition was a great event to connect local businesses and grow new supply opportunities.
“The feedback I have received has been very positive, citing a real buzz and evidence that business confidence is very much on the increase."
Due to the success of the event The Holiday Inn in Elstree has already been rebooked for an enlarged Best Business Expo on October 9 2014.
