Joely Bear Appeal blood donor session in Borehamwood and Elstree Synagogue
People are being urged to roll up their sleeves and give blood in memory of a four-year-old who died of cancer.
The Joely Bear Appeal will host the session at Borehamwood and Elstree Synagogue, in Croxdale Road, Borehamwood, on Sunday, November 3 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
The charity was founded in 1994 following the death of Borehamwood boy Joel Renak from a rare form of liver cancer.
Since then it has held blood donor sessions every four months at venues in Radlett, Borehamwood, Elstree and Shenley.
People from the age of 17-years-old can attend the session from 9.30am to 4.30pm and give blood, providing they meet the health requirements.
A supervised creche will also be available on the day.
