Disabled Borehamwood teenager celebrates triple win at sports event
A teenager is celebrating winning triple glory at a sporting event for disabled people.
Charlie Baker, who lives in Borehamwood, won first place athletics combo in shot, discus and javelin at the National Junior Games.
The 16-year-old said: "I have been going to the National Junior Games for six years and it has been great every year.
"I would truly recommend anyone who has the chance to go, because you make new friends, you won't want to leave, and it will also inspire you to take part in sport which could lead you to be in the next Paralympics."
The four day festival was held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in Buckinghamshire.
