Caffe Nero in Borehamwood hosts acoustic night on Saturday
A café will rock on Saturday night as it hosts a live music event.
Caffe Nero in Shenley Road in Borehamwood will reverberate with the sounds of adults and children singing their hearts out to the accompaniment of an acoustic duo.
The event, which starts at 6.30pm, will be the third of its kind the cafe has hosted.
Councillor Susan Maughan said previous occasions had been very “joyous”.
She added: “All are welcome.
"We have people of all ages coming along. Little children get up and dance and we have older people as well.
“The band plays popular songs from artists such as Oasis and people are encouraged to sing along."
She added she wanted as many people as possible to attend.
She said: “Residents have told me this event really does bring people together and help create a sense of community in Borehamwood.”
The representative for Kenilworth praised the management of the coffee shop for the support they gave to the community.
She added: “Caffe Nero allows us to hold a church there on a Sunday and hold women’s group meetings on Thursday, as well as hosting regular events like this.
“I can’t thank staff enough for their generousity.”
