Costa Coffee in Radlett goes Hawaiian to raise money to build schools
Grass skirts and loud shirts wil be worn when a coffee shop turns Hawaiian to raise money for charity.
Costa Coffee in Watling Street in Radlett is holding an all-day party on Saturday to raise money to build schools in the communities that grow its coffee.
Managers from branches across London will go head to head to see who can drink the most espresso between them.
The shop will be decorated and staff will don fancy dress.
There will also be face painting for children and visitors will have the chance to find more about the Costa Foundation, which has already built 22 schools in countries including Colombia, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Uganda and Vietnam.
Toni Stone of Costa said the event would be fun for the family.
She added: “We’re new to the area so we want to raise awareness of our charity and of our existence at all.
“We’re expecting a good turn out.”
