Borehamwood and District Garden Craft Society runs weeds workshop at Allum Lane Manor in Elstree
People plagued by nettles or battling brambles can discover a better use for these garden nuisances.
Borehamwood and District Garden Craft Society is holding a workshop about the uses of weeds on Thursday.
Members of the public will learn how to make creams, teas and other useful liquids from plants that would otherwise end up on the compost heap.
The event, which starts at 7pm at Allum Manor House in Allum Lane in Elstree, will be led by doctor of herbal medicine Christine Brock.
Each person will also be given ointments and recipes to take home.
Refreshments will be provided and the workshop costs £3 for members of the garden society and £5 for non members.
