Children will come face-to-face with creepy crawlies at free animal workshops over the summer holidays.
Scaly, finned and furry friends will be visiting Pets at Home, in the Boulevard, Theobold Street, Borehamwood, every day during the holiday.
The Kids’ Holiday Pet Club will give children the chance to find out more information about animals and how to care for them responsibly.
During the workshops, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and gerbils will be in store and children will have the chance to hold them.
They will also be able to learn about fish, reptiles and underwater wildlife.
Store manager Noel Stewart said: “It is a chance to showcase our knowledge and a great opportunity for children to have fun and learn.
“Last year’s workshops were extremely popular and we’ve already had lots of enquiries into the next ones, so we’re expecting them to be very busy!
Children who complete the workshops will go home with a certificate and an activity book with in-store trails, puzzles and sticker books.
They will be held every day in store at 2pm, starting from next Monday. For more information, ring 020 8953 5528.
