People have been invited to a powerful talk on how to end violence on women and girls.

Gender activist Betty Makoni will be visiting Borehamwood to raise awareness of violence and cruelty against females and what can be done to stop it for good.

The event, entitled ‘not to any girl ever again’, has been organised by Elstree & Borehamwood Rotary Club and child abuse charity NSPCC.

It is being supported by com.Unity Choir and refreshments are being donated by Shenley Sandwich Bar, Shenley Road, Borehamwood.

Tickets cost £5 and the event will be held in Fairway Hall, Brook Close, Borehamwood, on Friday July 12 and 6pm.
