Young writers are being urged to put pen to paper and take part in a Borehamwood-based writing competition.
Children aged five to 14 who live in the borough can write a 500-page short story on this year’s theme - Around the World.
The competition is now in its fifth year and last year’s winner was 11-year-old Elstree schoolgirl, Emma Grant.
Children’s author Cressida Cowell, who wrote How to Train Your Dragon, will be judging entries.
Prizes include a trip to Disnleyland Paris for the whole family and £500 worth of books for their school.
Entries must be received by Monday, June 3. To enter, pick up a form from the Explore Learning Centre, in Keystone Passage, Borehamwood, or visit www.explorelearning.co.uk/youngwriters
