A police sergeant was named as an officer who has “gone the extra mile” at awards ceremony.

Detective Sergeant Alex Warwick, who works in Borehamwood, was handed a long service award during a special ceremony at Hertfordshire Police’s Headquarters.

The honour was presented by Her Majesty’s Coroner Edward Thomas.

Chief constable Andy Bliss congratulated Det Sgt Warwick. He added: “She is an exceptional person who has gone the extra mile in her job."
