Chance to sign up to money-saving energy scheme led by Hertfordshire County Council
3:00pm Wednesday 6th March 2013 in News By Hermione Wright
People have another chance to sign up to a scheme which could save them cash on their energy bills.
The Ready to Switch scheme works by reverse auction, in which energy suppliers bid the lowest price to supply the energy to all people signed up to the scheme.
People have until April 8 to sign up to Ready to Switch, which is led by Hertfordshire County Council.
More than 1,500 people signed up since the project started in November, with customers saving an average of £120 a year on their fuel bill.
Robert Gordon, council leader, said: “We’ve had a great response so far and it’s heartening to hear that so many residents should make substantial savings on their fuel bills this year.”
