A1 northbound reopened after crash near Stirling Corner

The A1 Barnet Way has been reopened following crash involving four cars which closed the road for nearly two hours.

The crash happened just before 3pm today on the A1 near Rippon Way, between Stirling Corner and the M25.

Police closed the northbound stretch of road as ambulance and fire crews attended the scene.

East of England Ambulance Service say four people were hurt in the crash suffering from minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution.

There are currently severe delays on the A1 as congestion built up all the way back to Apex Corner roundabout.
