Theatre goers in Borehamwood will be able to book tickets to their favourite performances around the clock thanks to Hertfordshire County Council.
The council has provided £2,500 from its locality budget to pay for an intercom system outside The Ark Theatre in Elstree Way where visitors can purchase tickets when the centre is closed.
Councillor Morris Bright said: “The Ark Theatre is proving to be a most treasured community theatre and we are happy to support funding of an intercom system to allow easier access for patrons and as a result higher usage of the facilities.”
