Home Start Elstree & Borehamwood handed grant

A charity that brightens the lives of struggling families has been handed a cash grant.

Home Start, based in Shakespeare Drive, Borehamwood, was given an £800 cash grant from a Hertfordshire County Councillor.

Volunteers at the charity offer friendship and informal support to parents with young children, to help them overcome death, illness and isolation.

As long as they have a child under the age of five, families living in Borehamwood and Hertsmere are eligible to receive support.
