Delays to First Capital Connect services through Radlett in third day

Another miserable commute is in store for people trying to get to work this morning.

Passengers trying to travel on the Luton to St Pancras line through Radlett, Elstree & Borehamwood, Mill Hill and Hendon towards London face delays of up to 30 minutes.

For many, this is the third day of “manic” delays after more than a mile of overhead cable came down at Radlett station on Wednesday.

Services were originally expected to return to normal by 6am this morning, but engineers are still working to repair the snapped wiring.

Services are now expected to return to normal over the weekend.

I saw at Radlett Station earlier that the supporting wire has been replaced but the electrical wire has not.
