A campaign to help residents across Hertfordshire stay warm this winter has helped a record number of people.
Hertfordshire County Council has been given £395,000 from the Department of Health’s Warm Homes Healthy People Fund to help those struggling to heat their home during the cold snap.
The Keep Warm, Stay Well campaign was launched after government figures showed over 60,000 households in Hertfordshire are in fuel poverty.
People not need to be receiving benefits to qualify for help – which includes free home energy checks, debt advice, emergency radiators and other financial support.
