CCTV released after thefts in Borehamwood

Traders should be on their guard after a string of thefts in shops around Borehamwood.

Police have released CCTV images of four men and two women they would like to speak to in connection with six separate incidents of shoplifting, theft and burglary.

The first incident happened on Monday, December 17 at Morrisons, in Stirling Way, when a woman stole a purse containing credit cards from a counter just after 9.30pm.

Two men also stole £1,000 of cash from the fruit machines at Toby Carvery, in Studio Way, at 4.30am on Christmas Eve.

A television worth £210 was then stolen from the Salvage Shop, in Shenley Road, just after 12.40pm on Wednesday, December 26.

Meat and fish worth £40 was then stolen from the BP garage in Elstree Way at 1pm on Tuesday, January 15.

Soft drinks worth £4 were stolen from Martin McColls, Hartforde Road, just after 8pm on Thursday, January 24.

Finally, Ugg boots, wellington boots, a purse, pyjamas and trousers were stolen from Peacocks, Shenley Road, just after 2pm on January 21.

Anyone with information with information can call the police anonymously.
