Schools shut as icy roads deemed too dangerous
Hazardous roads and freezing temperatures have meant schools across Borehamwood remain shut today.
Only Hertswood School, in Thrift Farm Lane, is open to allow A-level students due to sit public exams today to take them as normal.
St Teresa’s Primary, in Brook Road, will be open from 2pm to provide emergency childcare for working parents.
The nine other schools in Borehamwood have also shut today due to the adverse weather conditions.
